A rare chance to purchase a Chiltern 1950’s `Bruin’ Bear.  Standing 18” tall on his carded feet – a bit shaky but he will stand if positioned just right! – Bruin will also give a growl if he’s in the right mood…  He has amber and black eyes, a plastic nose, but no mouth stitching.  Bruin has a jointed head, and unjointed arms and legs.  He has velvet pads with no holes, although a few repairs have been made to the foot pads.  He is a lovely solid bear, having a kapok filled body, and straw filled head; he has about 50% mohair coverage.  There is a tiny red mark on his left cheek, and an old, faded stain on his well-cuddled tummy.  The tops of his arms are also a bit saggy, from being carried around by a previous young owner, but this doesn’t detract from his beauty.  Bruin will arrive wearing his gorgeous cotton suit of blue check trousers and cream, broderie-anglais-trimmed top.
